→ Sift the flour into a large bowl. Stir in the yeast, water, yogurt, egg, nigella seeds, and salt (adding more if desired) to make a soft dough. Drizzle the oil over the top. Cover the bowl with a clean kitchen towel and let the dough rest for 15 to 20 minutes. On a lightly floured surface, divide it into 8 to 10 portions and form them into balls by rolling the dough between your palms. Let the dough rest again for 20 minutes.
→ Set the oven to broil. Roll each ball with a rolling pin into an oval shape. To make the ovals larger, you can toss them gently in the air like one would with pizza dough. Place 2 on a baking sheet at a time. Pop them under the broiler for 2 minutes at most, then flip them over and broil for just 30 seconds longer. The naan will be golden with air pockets crackling on their surface. Repeat with the remaining dough. As the breads are ready, brush them with clarified butter and cover with a towel on a plate until serving time. They are best enjoyed while still warm.
